2008 Fall Camping Trip

This year we went to Suches, Georgia (which is halfway between Dahlonega and Blairsville) for our camping trip. This is Samuel's first true camping experience and he loved it! We camped at Lake Winfield Scott in the Chattahoochee National Forest. The mountains and trees were so beautiful - it took our breath away! The mountain air did us a lot of good and we are all well again from our colds.

Our shelter for four days and three nights.
(It kept us nice and dry when it rained on our last night!)

Wow - a picture of Samuel and I together! Here we are just riding around the park picking up sticks for our campfire.

This is Samuel's designated play area.
He loved to play with the pea gravel and leaves, too!

This is Samuel sporting his new shoes...
we finally found some to fit his fat feet!

Here's another pic of Samuel and I at the Georgia Mountain Fair on Saturday. The Maya Wrap came in so handy when he was sick of the stroller (and hungry)!

We got to see Tracy Byrd in concert at the fair. I'm not really into country anymore, but it was pretty good for free.

Samuel enjoyed the concert (and the lights), too.

A really old school bus at the fair.

Some family pics......man, my arms are tired!
This fair was a lot of fun - one of the best we have ever been to!

My husband...the pyro!

Samuel's first driving lesson - don't worry, we are still in the park!
